The Gallowglass were a class of elite mercenary warriors who were principally members of the Norse-Gaelic clans of Ireland and Scotland between the mid-13th to 16th century. Gallowglass (Military/Patriot) Motorcycle Club (GMC) is made up of warriors, past and present, who seek to never leave a brother behind and to be there in times of need, raising money for veterans in need and individuals desiring to leave the criminal justice system to rehabilitate and become productive members of society, leading law-abiding lives.

The idea of the motorcycle club grew out of several years of discussion between two best friends; one that did multiple stints in the penitentiary, totaling 24 years before finally getting his feet on the ground and turning his life around, and the other friend whose career in the military spanned 24 years. The concept was shared with a few other close biker friends, all seeking the bonds, brotherhood, and camaraderie they relished in the military and the MC could provide and also believing in the mission of helping others and never leaving a brother behind, and hence The Gallowglass Motorcycle Club was born.
